The ExxonMobil-led joint venture owners of the Scarborough deep-water gas development in Australia have set targets for entering front-end engineering and design and project sanction.

“The development is positioning to support FEED readiness in 2018 and a FID (final investment decision) by 2020, said new joint venture partner Woodside Petroleum.

These targets were “consistent with retention lease obligations”, added Woodside, which completed its acquisition of a 25% interest in the field last November.

The
