UK contractor Laing O'Rourke has demobilised roughly 800 onshore workers building the LNG tanks at the Inpex-operated Ichthys LNG project in northern Australia.
O'Rourke has been constructing four cryogenic tanks on the project in partnership with Japan's Kawasaki Heavy Industries under a contract with the JKC joint venture comprising JGC, KBR and Chiyoda signed in 2012.
Work began on site mid-2013 and is in its final stages.
