The AM17 survey will take two seasons to complete, provide much-needed work for vessels contracted from Polarcus and Shearwater GeoServices, and perhaps confirm some new theories on the prospectivity of the region developed in recent years.
The survey is a striking illustration of how the latest 3D seismic technology has become cost-effective as an exploration tool even for the large swathes of frontier acreage being covered in the AM17 project.
