STX OSV has secured another pair of newbuild contracts in a roll of fresh orders as it emerged that Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri is reportedly among the final bidders looking to acquire the Singapore-listed offshore support vessel fabricator.

The latest orders, announced on Friday, are for two offshore subsea construction vessels for Norway’s Siem Offshore, scheduled for delivery in the third and fourth quarters of 2013, though no contract value was disclosed.

STX OSV has also won a contract - again with no value given - with Norwegian investment firm Iceman to build an anchor-handling tug supply vessel that will be delivered in mid-2013, coming on the heels of recent awards for a pair of deep-water AHTS vessels for Farstad Shipping.
