Shell turns on Bonny taps

By Upstream staff

Shell has resumed normal production levels at its 400,000 barrel per day Bonny Light oilfields in Nigeria, it said today.

The supermajor began restoring production last week after it was forced to cut output by 170,000 bpd due to a protest by local villagers.

However, a company spokesman told Reuters a force majeure remained in place for Bonny Light shipments.
