Ezra opens wallet for new vessel

Singapore-based Ezra Holdings said today its subsidiary Lewek Shipping had awarded a contract worth $25.6 million to Labroy Shipbuilding & Engineering for the construction of a 125-metre accommodation, well service and maintenance vessel.

The vessel can be used to provide maintenance, installation and construction services to deep-water rigs and platforms and will be able to accommodate to up to 500 persons, Ezra said.

The vessel is expected to be delivered by the end of 2008, Ezra added.
