Stuart targets magnificent seven

By Upstream staff

Australia’s Stuart Petroleum said today it would next month start a A$12 million (US$9.8 million) seven-well drilling programme at its holdings in the Cooper and Eromanga basins.

The wells will test four exploration targets with reserve a potential of 6 million barrels of oil with 20 billon cubic feet of gas, as well as three development locations in the Padulla and Worrior oilfields, Stuart said.

Stuart will be operator of all the wells in the programme.

Details of drilling operations, targets and timings will be given shortly, the company said.
