Singapore’s Keppel Fels said today it is on course to deliver another jack-up drilling rig to Norway-listed Sinvest, a subsidiary of India’s Aban Offshore, on time and within budget.
The KFels Super B Class jack-up rig Deep Driller 5 is the third of five such rigs that Keppel is constructing for Sinvest.
The first rig – Deep Driller 2 – was delivered in April 2006, while Deep Driller 3 was delivered six months later.
The KFels Super B Class jack-up rigs are unique in their capability and flexibility to drill some of the most challenging wells that exist today,” said Aban managing director Reji Abraham.
“Deep Driller 5, much like Deep Driller 2 and 3 would be the most preferred rig for this segment.”
