Latest jobsOperations have restarted at the Victoria-operated Growler-2 appraisal well in the South Australia permit PEL 104, following a long delay due to heavy rains in the region.
The rig crew has now been mobilised and drilling personnel are on location after repairs to access roads damaged by heavy rains were completed, joint venture partner Impress Energy said.
Prior to the delay, Growler-2 was drilled to 108 metres.
Primary targets are at 1650 metres and it is anticipated it will take between 10 and 12 days to drill.
Growler-2 is an appraisal well on the Growler oilfield.
Growler-1 discovered an 18 metre oil column in the Jurassic Birkhead formation.
Partner in the PEL 104 joint venture are operator Victoria Petroleum (40%), Impress Energy (40%) and Roma Petroleum (20%).
