Turkish delight for Incremental

By Upstream staff

Australian explorer Incremental Petroleum has announced a 31% second-quarter increase in oil sales revenue at its 100%-owned Selmo oilfield in Turkey.

Incremental said the increase was due to higher levels of production and a rising oil price.

Production creeped up 1.3% in the quarter compared with the same period in 2006.

The Selmo field is the second largest oilfield in Turkey, producing 267,976 barrels of oil in the six months to 30 June 2006, Incremental said.

The company is also pressing ahead with its interest in the Edirne gas project in Turkey's Thrace basin where a four to six well drilling program is scheduled to begin in December.
