Red Fork reaches its target

By Upstream staff

Australian junior Red Fork Energy has reached target depth at the 4-28 well at its 100%-owned Osage coalbed methane project in Oklahoma, with testing showing the presence of hydrocarbons.

Red Fork said the well was drilled to 1400 feet with the primary target reached at 1270 feet and drilled for about 22 feet.

This zone flowed naturally and tested at about 80,000 cubic feet of gas per day.

Completion work on this zone has been scheduled for later this week and Red Fork expects to have the well completed, tied in and producing by the end of September.
