Granherne and WorleyParsons have been awarded a contract for an engineering study on the topsides and substructures component of Woodside Petroleum's Browse liquefied natural gas project in Australia.
The concept and definition study is linked to the proposed Browse-to-Burrup development option, which is one of several concepts being considered by Woodside.
A Woodside spokeswoman said the contract for Granherne and WorleyParsons did not indicate that Browse-to-Burrup was the favoured option and a final decision would be made on the preferred concept in the second half of 2008.
