Sweden’s PA Resources said it had spudded an exploration well on the Serraguia prospect, on its Makhtar permit in western Tunisia.
PA said the Serraguia-1 well would be drilled to a total depth of 2000 metres using the CTF-06 drilling rig. The work was expected to take about 45 days.
The company said nearby existing production facility would allow it to tie in rapidly any production discovered in the well,
PA operates the Makhtar permit with a 45% stake, with Tunisian state player Etap holding the remaining 45%.
