As Director of European Operations, you will be responsible for actively supporting a wide variety of membership interests across Europe with a focus on HSE, training and regulatory issues.
This full-time contract position will allow you to use your in-depth knowledge of the global oil and gas industry to build a substantial network within the association and the industry within Europe.

You will report to the Principal Engineer, you will support the execution of Prospect projects, using your own technical expertise and experience in Engineering Design, Computational Analysis as well as group-wide technical support.

Providing technical expertise on every aspect of Process Control, the challenges you’ll face will be as diverse as the projects you’re involved in. As well as working closely with Development Managers and Subsurface professionals to make the most of our existing sites and develop new proposals, you’ll oversee the work of contractors from conceptual studies all the way through to the detailed design stage. You’ll also contribute significantly to the development of less experienced colleagues.
Worldwide offshore contracted rigs grew by two this week with 614 of 685 rigs under contract, the ODS-Petrodata Group’s weekly survey released today showed.
Worldwide offshore rig fleet utilisation is 89.6%.
In the US Gulf, utilisation remained at 80% with 100 rigs under contract out of 125.
Offshore rig counts remained unchanged this week.
In Europe, offshore rig utilisation is 100% with 99 mobile offshore drilling units in use.
In South America, offshore drilling fleet size and number of rigs under contract are unchanged this week, with 68 rigs out of 92 available under contract, fleet utilisation is 73.9%.
In the Asia/Australia region, the number of rigs under contract rose by one this week, thanks to a new jack-up contract, with 100 out of 103 available offshore rigs under contract, fleet utilisation stands at 97.1%.
In West Africa, the offshore rig fleet size and the number of contracted rigs are unchanged, wth 57 rigs out of 58 available under contract, utilisation remains at 98.3%.
