Woodside hands Paladio Pluto deal

By Upstream staff

Australia’s Paladio Group is primed to start a two-year deal worth A$80 million for civil works at Woodside’s Pluto liquefied natural gas project.

Paladio offshoot Decmil Australia, which provides civil construction and engineering services, has been commissioned primarily to build site accommodation for the Pluto project personnel on the Burrup Peninsular, near Karratha in Western Australia, starting this month, Palladio said in a statement.

Pluto is expected to produce first gas in late 2010 and the $12 billion project is set to become Australia’s second biggest resources project.
