Wood wins Aramco contract deal

Long-term extension will see contractor provide onshore engineering and project management services

UK contractor Wood Group has won a multi-year deal extension from Saudi Aramco to work on the Saudi Arabian state oil giant’s onshore facilities.

The London-listed player has been handed the five-year extension to a general engineering service plus (GES+) contract originally awarded in 2010.

The framework agreement will see Wood Group provide engineering and project management services across an unspecified number of Aramco’s onshore capital programmes.

The extension also comes with three on-year extension options. Wood Group did not disclose the value, saying only that it is a “multi-million-dollar” deal.
