Weatherford wins Repsol Norway well deal

Services player to provide plug-and-abandonment operations for Spanish major's probes

Weatherford International has landed a deal from Repsol covering dozens of wells to be plugged and abandoned off Norway.

The services giant will work for the Spanish major at up to 50 wells, it said.

The contract will begin this month and is estimated to last three years.

No contract value was disclosed.

Services will include fishing, cutting and milling as well as casing pulling and drilling and pinning of multiple streams of casing.
