Dutch project-management specialists The Offshore Partners and M Restart are merging into a single company that they hope will better serve the oil and gas and maritime construction industries.
The new company, which will be known as Top M Restart and based in Rotterdam, “expects to grow, by offering its expertise to technically challenging projects around the globe”, according to a statement.
It aims to “provide technical know-how and its experience in international fiscal matters”.
No financial terms were disclosed in the announcement of the merger on Tuesday.
The Offshore Partners brings experience in design and engineering; technical and operational support; procurement; and construction supervision of crane and pipelay vessels and other complex floating assets used in offshore projects worldwide.
It counts companies like Saipem, Subsea 7 and Helix among its existing clients.
M Restart is said to be “closely involved” in complex multi-discipline oil and gas projects onshore and offshore.
The merged company said it intends to grow into the business of crewing activities.
“Project-related provision of crew for ships, platforms, rigs, etc requires specialist knowledge of the sector,” Top M Restart said in a statement.
“By combining this know-how and operational experience, together with quality and flexibility, TOP M Restart anticipates further opportunities, in which to provide its clients with an even better service.”
The board of directors will be made up of The Offshore Partners founding partners, Josso van Boxtel and Diederik van der Hoek, as well as M Restart founder Monique van der Palm and investor Erik de Haan.
