Tuscany Energy makes Canada oil find

Rutland resources: Tuscany finds oil at Saskatchewan prospect

Canada’s Tuscany Energy said it found more than 500 metres of porous, oil-saturated sand with its Rutland heavy oil exploration well in west central Saskatchewan.

The Toronto-listed explorer said that production equipment would be installed on the 91/13-34-40-25W3M horizontal well to bring it onto production within two weeks.

The well is the first of five horizontal wells the company plans to drill in the coming months targeting Dina sands, with two pairs of development wells to follow at the explorer’s Evesham and Macklin fields.
