AziPac confirms new managing director

Singapore-based AziPac has confirmed the appointment of Frank Inouye as its managing director with immediate effect.

Wednesday's announcement confirms an earlier report in Upstream the newly established upstream player was set to appoint Inouye in the role.

Inouye has over 34 years industry experience, working in Australia, Asia, North Africa, Canada and South America.

He has previously served as the chief executive of Coastal Energy and Samudra Energy, and has also served as head of corporate development for Premier Oil and as general manger of Premier's South-East Asian operations.

Azipac was established by the Azimuth Group and is backed by Seacrest Capital Group. It is focussed on exploring for oil and gas in the maritime basins offshore the Asia Pacific region and the Bay of Bengal.
