DOF Subsea reels in contracts

New contract: for Skandi Hawk

Oslo-listed offshore vessel owner DOF Subsea has landed a haul of contracts worth a total of Nkr830 million ($135 million) that will secure work for three vessels as well as boost utilisation of existing units.

Its vessels Skandi Singapore, Skandi Hercules and Skandi Hawk will carry out inspection, maintenance and repair (IMR), and subsea installation under contracts awarded by unidentified clients in the Asia Pacific region.

The company has also gained several awards in the Atlantic region including a contract for two construction projects off West Africa for which it will utilise the Skandi Singapore.

In North America, DOF has won contracts including IMR services and subsea installation that will keep existing vessels working in the region busy.

Chief executive Mons Aase said the deals would improve utilisation of the company’s vessels in  the second half of this year and first quarter of 2015.
