The construction project will be executed at the Erhama Bin Jaber Al Jalahma shipyard, in Ras Laffan Qatar.
Work will start on the Al Safliya lift boat at the beginning of next year on the new self-propelled and self-elevating vessel for Gulf Drilling.
After completing more than ten jack-up rig repairs and conversion projects for the Qatari drilling company, N-KOM will now complete a new build for the company.
This new vessel will add to the company’s existing line-up of accommodation and platform support vessels.
It can operate in water depths of up to 65 metres and will have a helideck and accommodation quarter for 130 people.
N-Kom is a joint venture between Qatar’s gas shipper Nakilat and offshore rig and ship constructor Keppel Offshore & Marine.
