PA Resources drills new Tunisia well

By Upstream staff

Sweden's PA Resources said today it has spudded the fifth well on the Didon field in Tunisia as part of its redevelopment campaign.

The well is being drilled by the jack-up rig Ocean Spur through a slot on the newly-installed Didon platform.

The company said the well will have a liquid capacity of 12 000 barrels per day. It will be drilled to about 2750 metres below sea level and the drilling is expected to last about 60 days.

Upon completion of Didon 5, Ocean Spur will then drill Didon 6 in the eastern part of the field.
