Kodiak plumps for Thunder stake

Denver-based Kodiak Energy said today it has signed an agreement to buy a majority share of Canadian company Thunder River Energy for $13.5 million.

Alberta-based Thunder River Energy currently owns a 50% working interest in the 200,000-acre exploration licence 413 in Canada's North West Territories and 95% of CIMA holdings of New Mexico, which has 55,000 acres of mineral rights in north-east New Mexico.
