Aker Kvaerner nets Noonan job

Norway's Aker Kvaerner said today it has won a subsea umbilical deal worth $14 million from Helix Energy Solutions for the Noonan field in the Gulf of Mexico.

The Norwegian company said it will supply in-field electro and hydraulic umbilicals to the project and delivery is scheduled for January 2008.

The umbilical project management, engineering, and manufacturing will be performed at Aker Kvaerner's Mobile, Alabama, facility.

The Noonan field is Garden Banks Block 506 about 230 kilometres off Galveston, Texas, in a water depth of 820 metres.
