Cooper set to spud Fairbridge-1

By Upstream staff

Australia’s Cooper Energy is set to spud its Fairbridge-1 well in the South Australian sector of the Cooper basin on 27 December.

The well targets oil in a structure located about 3.5 kilometres west of the Keleary oilfield. It will be drilled to a total depth of 2672 metres using the Ensign Drilling Rig-30.

Cooper is paying Enterprise Energy’s share of costs for drilling the well in return for an extra 10% stake in the prospect. The company already has a 28.33% operating interest in the block.
