CNOOC Ltd, the listed unit of China National Offshore Oil  Corporation (CNOOC) is embarking on a plan that envisages increased co-operation with foreign oil companies at home and  overseas as it works to meet a  targeted hydrocarbon production growth rate of between 6% and 10% per annum from now until 2015.

ConocoPhillips eyes Burlington date

ConocoPhillips expects to close its acquisition of gas producer Burlington Resources by the end of the month, the supermajor's chief financial officer John Carrig said today.

Carrig, speaking at an AG Edwards energy conference, said the special meeting of Burlington shareholders to approve the deal would be held on 310 March, ahead of the deal's expected closing on 31 March.
