Mendoza puts blocks on offer


Argentina's Mendoza province will tender 13 blocks in the second half of the year, the provincial government has announced.

The province will launch the first tender round on 26 June for the Abarcara Tordillos Oeste and Nancunan blocks in the Cuyana basin, as well as the Chachahuen and Rio Atuel blocks in the Neuquen basin.

The second round will take place on 15 September for the San Rafael and General Alvear blocks in Cuyana and the Río Diamante, Payun Oeste, and Coiron blocks in Neuquen.

A third round will kick off on 14 December and includes the Pampa del Sebo and Zampal Norte blocks in Cuyana as well as the Cerro de los Leones and Malargue blocks in Neuquen.

The winning bidder must hire at least 75% of its workforce from the province and give priority to local oil service companies, the provincial government said.
