Dockwise rings the changes

By Russell Searancke

Dockwise, the Dutch marine heavy transport company, is modernising its fleet of vessels in the coming years as part of a new growth strategy.

"New state-of-the-art vessels, largest in their market segment, will support the new service portfolio and replace some of the older vessels. Other units in the Dockwise fleet will receive a major upgrade to ensure and safeguard more years of reliable services at the top end of the market," said André Goedée, Dockwise chief executive.

Part of the growth strategy will also result in substantial changes in the Dockwise organisation. New professionals are being hired to add specialist skills and competencies, and the company has also been restructured.

The opening of new offices in Shanghai (China), Perth (Australia) and later this year in Busan (South Korea) and Lagos (Nigeria) is part of this new strategy.

"We want to improve and intensify our communication with clients and furthermore serve customers to our best ability," said Goedée.
