Victoria spuds Jindivik probe

Australia’s Victoria Petroleum has spudded its Jindivik-1 exploration well in South Australia’s Cooper basin.

The well will test the Greater Mirgage Murta oil pool that has potential in-place reserves of up to 23 million barrels of oil.

Jindivik-1 has a planned total depth of 1683 metres.

Participants in PE 115 are operator Victoria (40%), Impress Petroleum (40%) and Roma Petroleum (20%).
