Petrolia, Junex test Gaspe well

By Upstream staff

Norwegian group Petrolia and partner Canadian minnow Junex have successfully tested their Haldimand No. 1 well on Quebec's Gaspe peninsula.

The companies said the well produced an average of 34 barrels of light oil per day over 10 days. The total 15-day production test yielded 491 barrels of oil.

The well also produced six barrels of oil equivalent gas per day.

The Haldimand well taps hydrocarbons trapped in Devonian sediments about 1600 feet below the surface.
