Maersk Oil is seeking a Drilling Superintendent for a key position in the DUC Operations Drilling Group located at our headquarters in Copenhagen. The group, which consists of five rig teams each with a Drilling Superintendent and an Operations Engineer, supports the Danish North Sea drilling activities of Maersk Oil. The sale of oil and gas leases on federal lands by the Bureau of Land Management's (BLM's) Utah office has reaped record revenues.
The BLM sold leases on 262 parcels for just over $54 million at the auction in Salt Lake City earlier this week, nearly doubling the previous high of $28 million set in September 2004, the Salt Lake Tribune reported.
The paper said BLM officials described the sale "a decisive cut" because it included many parcels that had been previously deferred because of protests.
