Marion pumps Utah gas

Australian junior Marion Energy has started producing gas from its Ballpark Canyon-1 well in central Utah.

The well is currently producing 2 million cubic feet of gas per day though it has been flow tested at more then 4 MMcfd. The company said that it would monitor the well and slowly increase sales volumes depending on the performance.

Ballpark Canyon-1 is the third well that the company has completed at its Helper Project. It is also in the process of tested the Cordingley Canyon 15-1 and 15-2 wells.

Marion added that it expects to spud the Cordingley Canyon 11-1 well within the next week.

Partenrs in Ballpark Canyon-1 are operator Marion (48.75%), fellow Australian Odyssey Energy (30%), US company Pegasi Energy (10.625%) as well as private interests (10.625%).
