Avalon joins Lacey Field quest

US independent Avalon Oil & Gas has agreed to take a 25% working interest in C&M Exploration's Lacey Field in Kingfisher County, Oklahoma.

Avalon said it had signed a letter of intent to buy into the property, which has four potential re-entry bores, as well as two potential drilling locations.

The York-3 well was drilled in1981 and produced 137,000 barrels of oil and 175 million cubic feet of gas.

The partners to re-enter the well and deepen it by 100 feet to target the Bromide Sandstone. They will also attempt to stimulate the Simpson.

Totla reserves of 57,500 barrels of oil and 600 million cubic feet of gas.
