Drilling ahead: at Saudi Aramco
Saudi Aramco said today that it has increased its drilling rig fleet to 100, nearly double its 2004 figure, adding that it aims to have 121 rigs in place by the end of the year.
Saudi Arabia is boosting its crude and gas production capacity. Last September, state-run Aramco said it wanted to double its fleet to 110 by 2006.
