Duo sell BEB to Gasunie

Gas goal: for Dutch player gasunie

Shell and ExxonMobil have agreed to sell the transport business of their German natural gas network joint venture BEB to Dutch state pipeline operator Gasunie.

"This agreement is in line with Shell's portfolio management strategy to maximise shareholder value," Charles Watson, executive vice president of Shell Energy Europe, Shell Gas & Power, said in a statement.

The deal, for which no financial details were disclosed, is subject to regulatory approval and is expected to be completed next year.
