Houston oilfield services contractor Baker Hughes saw its net income for the second quarter this year drop to $87 million or 28 cents per diluted share compared to $379 million or $1.23 per diluted share for the second quarter last year and $195 million or 63 cents per diluted share for the first quarter this year.
