Fairfield Industries signs Russia deal

Seismic gear sale: Fairfield Industries strikes deal.

Texas-based Fairfield Industries said it has signed a deal to sell seismic equipment to Russian seismic outfit Sevmorgeo State Company.

Sevmorgeo bought 500 autonomous recording units (ARUs), or nodes, for the Z700 seismic acquisition system.

The Z700 nodal seismic data acquisition system, which is designed and manufactured by Fairfield, can operate in shallow water at depths between 1 and 700 metres.

Sevmorgeo plans to begin operations using Z700 in the upcoming summer shooting season, according to a Fairfield release.
