Italian giant Eni has started pumping first oil from the Oyo field, off Nigeria, via the Armada Perdana floating production storage and offloading vessel.

“The field has the ability to produce 25,000 barrels of oil per day from two subsea wells,” Eni said.

The FPSO can treat 40,000 barrels of liquids per day and can store up to 1 million barrels of crude oil.

The Oyo field lies in Oil Mining Licence 120, about 75 kilometres off the Nigerian coast.

The field partners are Allied Energy (57.5%), Eni (40%) and Camac (2.5%).
