Baker Hughes opens Saudi center

Building in the desert: Baker Hughes finishes facility in Saudi Arabia.

US services giant Baker Hughes opened its new 100,000-square-metre operations center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.

The facility houses laboratories, offices, repair and maintenance operations and a remote collaboration center.

“For the first time, all Baker Hughes product lines are housed in the same facility in Saudi Arabia under one management team, which will drive consistent standards to improve service quality and reliability,” Baker Hughes exec Khaled Nouh said in a release.

Baker Hughes plans to begin construction next year on another research and technology center at KFUPM Dhahran Techno-Valley.
