Mosaic suspends Fairymount well

By Upstream staff

Australia’s Mosaic Oil has suspended drilling at its Fairymount-7H well in Queensland after the coiled tubing drilling fish became stuck.

Attempts to free the fish failed due to the limitation of the work string capability and limited stock of suitable equipment available in the country.

The company said that it plans to resume drilling once the equipment is available from overseas.

The Fairymount field in Mosaic’s 100%-owned PL 46 currently produces about 35 barrels of oil per day.
