US schedules offshore drilling meetings

The US offshore drilling regulator will hold a series of public meetings to discuss new regulations on offshore drilling and oil spill response.



The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation, and Enforcement (BOEM), has scheduled meetings for in August in New Orleans, LA, Lafayette, LA, Mobile, AL, Pensacola, FL, Santa Barbara, CA, and Anchorage, AK.

Meetings will be held in early September in Biloxi, MS and Houston, TX.

The format will feature representatives from academia, environmental groups and industry on a panel, with questions and comments from the public.
