Switzerland-based Manas Petroleum said today it has awarded China National Petroleum Corporation’s subsidiary DQE International a contract to carry out 2D seismic on its assets in Mongolia.
The
turnkey
contract
covers
300
kilometres
on
blocks
13
and
14
and
is
valued
at
$1.05
million.
Manas
holds
an
84%
stake
in
the
blocks
10%
of
which
is
held
in
trust
for
a
Mongolian
oil
and
gas
company.
The
two
blocks
cover
over
20,000
square
kilometers
around
Mongolia's
southern
border.
