Gold Point looks south

By Upstream staff

Vancouver-based Gold Point Energy said it had farmed into Apco Argentina's and Antrim Argentina's Martinez del Tineo prospect in Salta Province, Argentina.

Gold Point said it would pay 50% of a $1 million 3D seismic programme over 60 square kilometres and 50% of a $2 million 2300-metre test well for a 25% working interest in the prospect. Following the drilling of the well, the company would have the option to earn a 25% interest in the entire Yacimiento Norte 1/B block by helping to fund further exploration.

Apco Argentina is a subsidiary of The Williams Companies. Antrim Argentina is a wholly-owned unit of Antrim Energy.
