Modec Offshore Production Systems has handed Aker Solutions' wholly-owned subsidiary Aker Marine Contractors a $30 million mooring installation contract for hook-up of the Bourgogne floating production, storage and offloading vessel off Angola.
Modec
will
supply
the
floater
to
BP
for
the
supermajor's
Plutao,
Saturno,
Venus
and
Marte
development
in
Block
31.
The
FPSO
will
be
installed
in
about
2000
metres
of
water
and
have
production
capacity
of
157,000
barrels
per
day.
Project
management
and
operations
planning
will
be
performed
from
Aker
Solutions'
offices
in
Houston,
Texas.
