Nexus secures McDermott for Crux

McDermott: The comapny may assist Nexus in completing the Crux liquids project.

Australia’s Nexus Energy has secured McDermott Asia Pacific to carry out an engineering and strategy review on the Crux liquids project in PL AC/L9 in the Browse basin, off Western Australia.

In an announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Nexus said the works were needed in order to progress the project to a final investment decision by the end of the year.

Like its agreement with Fluor’s Australian arm, announced earlier this week, Nexus can review McDermott’s initial works by the end of next month and if it is satisfied, and a final investment decision sanctioned, Fluor will assist Nexus in completing the delayed project.
