IGas preps for Doe Green well

IGas Energy: the company has started work on a third CBM well at its Doe Green site between Widnes and Warrington

London-based IGas Energy has commenced construction of a third well at its Doe Green coalbed methane site in north-west England.





The announcement coincides with the signing of a second drilling contract for the rig BDF Rig-28 for a four well programme, starting with the DG-3 well.

IGas said the DG-3 would involve drilling one lateral well and subsequent branches off that well into a different seam to the existing producing well at DG-2.

The company said two cellars had already been constructed and the conductors were in the process of being set at the DG-3 well site. It is also currently in the process of upgrading production facilities at Doe Green to deal…
