Circle Oil has announced it looking for farmout partners at one of its two blocks in Oman and has been granted an exploration extension at the other block.

In an operational update, the London-listed exploration and production firm said it would now be seeking farm-out partners at its prospective offshore Block 52 after fresh data showed several promising drill targets.

“In Block 52, the new seismic is of excellent quality and multiple closures, including some leads we mapped previously, have been firmed up as prospects”, commented chief executive Prof Chris Green.

“The interpretations coming from Block 52 seismic have allowed us to prepare a comprehensive farm-out package", he added.
