Norwegian seismic outfit Scan Geophysical has landed a deal with Gems International to shoot about 3000 kilometres of 2D seismic off Pakistan for the country's National Institute of Oceanography.
Scan said the survey will take about a month to shoot and is set to start in the middle of this month. The 2D vessel Geo Searcher will be deployed for th e survey.
Scan declined to put a price on the job, saying only that the contract rates reflect increasing market prices for high-end 2D surveys.
