Australia’s Sundance Energy has bought its first oil producing asset in the Williston basin in North Dakota for 3.75 million of its restricted shares.
The Calf Woman-1 well in the nearly 12,000 acre Phoenix prospect currently produces between 25 barrels and 30 barrels of oil per day from the Mission Canyon formation.
Sundance said that it plans to expand the lease in 2007 before starting a 3D seismic survey to identify potential drill sites for late-2007.
